Your sessions on any device

With your account, your session videos are saved privately so you can open and analyse them on another device, without the file. How they upload, space and turning it off.

On this page

When you’re signed in, every video of yours that you open uploads to your account by itself, to private storage. You can then open that session on another computer, or on your coach’s with your account, and keep analysing it as if you had the file: the scan, the body, the ball, the AI coach, comparisons and your history.

The analysis still runs on your device, and you can keep working on the video while it uploads. If you’d rather your videos didn’t leave your devices, you can turn uploading off.

How it uploads#

  1. Open a video of yours. As always: with Open a video or by dropping it on the window. If it isn’t in your account yet, it starts uploading by itself.
  2. Watch the top bar. A notice says Uploading 42% · keep this window open. Press it to see each video, its progress and the time left, with Pause, Resume and Retry.
  3. Keep working. Scan, draw or compare in the meantime. You can open other videos: the upload doesn’t stop, and the ones you open wait their turn, one at a time.
  4. Done. When it finishes, the top bar says Saved to your account for a few seconds and your session’s card on Home says In your account.

The file is uploaded as it is, without re-encoding, so on another device every frame is exactly the same. MP4, MOV and WebM upload. Pro clips and your cloud strokes aren’t uploaded again.

How long it takes depends on your connection: at 50 Mb/s upload, a 4 GB video takes about 11 minutes. While it uploads, the app keeps the screen on.

Keep the window open#

This browser tab does the uploading, so it needs to stay open until it finishes. If you try to close or reload it while uploading, the browser asks whether you want to leave.

If you close the window#

What was already uploaded isn’t lost: next time the upload picks up where it left off, without sending again what’s already in your account.

  • In Chrome and Edge, if the video is in your recents and the browser still has permission to read it, the upload carries on by itself when you open the app.
  • Otherwise, the session’s card on Home says Upload paused · open … to finish uploading. Open that same file and the upload continues.

An upload left unfinished for more than a week is discarded. If you open the video again after that, it starts over.

Open your session on another device#

  1. Sign in with your account on the other computer.
  2. Go to Home. Your latest session offers Open from your account, and under Saved in your account the sessions whose video is in your account have the cloud icon.
  3. Open it. The video plays from your account, without downloading it whole or picking any file. Your analysis is there, and the hits the audio found show up at once.

Everything works as it does with the file: frame stepping, the scan, the skeleton, the ball, the AI coach, comparing with a pro and your history. A link to a video also opens it from your account when the file isn’t on that device.

Space and deleting videos#

On Home, the Videos in your account block shows how much space your videos use (for example, “12.4 GB of 50 GB”) and each video with its state. Your account shows it too, under Usage, on the Session videos line.

  • Delete a video: the bin button (Delete from account). It’s deleted from your account; its analysis is kept and the file stays on your devices.
  • If your account fills up: new videos stay on that device and the session’s card says Your account is full: this video stays on this device. Press Free up space to go to your videos and delete the ones you no longer need.

Turn uploading off#

In the Videos in your account block, switch off Upload my session videos. From then on nothing new is uploaded: the upload in progress stops and your videos stay only on your devices. The ones already in your account stay there until you delete them. The setting belongs to your account, so it applies on all your devices.

If you turn it back on, uploads left unfinished carry on where they were (by themselves when the browser still has access to the file, otherwise when you open it again).
